What is the Award Matrice?
The Award Matrice is one of the highest honours in the South Australian Thoroughbred breeding industry. It is named after the legendary racehorse Matrice, a champion known for his exceptional performance and bloodline influence. Each year, SA Thoroughbred Breeders Inc. selects an individual who has made a lasting impact on the breeding and racing community, and for the 2023/24 season, that honor belongs to Wolf Blass.
